Love the Lord your God with all your mind, heart and soul.

Matthew 22:37
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'

The whole Bible is great but I especially love those words in red-the ones Jesus spoke. They really get my attention when I am seeking specific instruction. This morning I woke up and heard "renew your mind." You see, I had one of those regressive days yesterday when I was wollering in lies. You know the ones that keep reminding you of how many severe challanges you have rather than to be thankful that you are breathing.

So, I did a word search on mind and this scripture stood out: Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."

Mind according to Merriam-Webster:

Sometimes a word study really enlightens me. I do it a little differently each time. Today it goes like this: Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your recollection-tranquillity of mind, religious contemplation, the action or power of recalling to mind, something recalled to the mind, memory. Psalm 77:11 AMP I will [earnestly] recall the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will [earnestly] remember the wonders [You performed for our fathers] of old. Song of Solomon 1:4 AMP Draw me! We will run after you! The king brings me into his apartments! We will be glad and rejoice in you! We will recall [when we were favored with] your love, more fragrant than wine. The upright [are not offended at your choice, but sincerely] love you. John 14:26 AMP But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your elements or complex of elements in an individual that feels, perceives, thinks, wills, and especially reasons. Isaiah 1:18
"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your conscious mental events and capabilities in an organism, the organized conscious and unconscious adaptive mental activity of an organism. 1 Peter 2:19 For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your intention-a determination to act in a certain way. James 1:25 NIV
But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.


Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your desire-to long or hope for. Psalm 37:4 NIV Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 40:8 NIV I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart." Psalm 51:6 NIV Surely you desire truth in the inner parts ; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place. Psalm 73:25 NIV Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. Romans 13:14 NIV Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your opinion-belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your view-a mode or manner of looking at or regarding something.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your disposition-final arrangement.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mood-the tendency of something to act in a certain manner under given circumstances,

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your embodying mental qualities and intellectual ability. Colossians 2:8 AMP See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men's ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah).

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your conscious substratum or factor in the universe. Luke 21:33-35 AMP 33The [b]sky and the earth ([c]the universe, the world) will pass away, but My words will not pass away. 34But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the [d]giddiness and headache and [e]nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the [f]business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose; 35For it will come upon all who live upon the face of the entire earth.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your attention-a condition of readiness for such attention involving especially a selective narrowing or focusing of consciousness and receptivity. Jeremiah 23:18 AMP For who among them has stood in the council of the Lord, that he should perceive and hear His word? Who has marked His word [noticing and observing and giving attention to it] and has [actually] heard it? Matthew 26:41 AMP All of you must keep awake (give strict attention, be cautious and active) and watch and pray, that you may not come into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 24:42 AMP Watch therefore [give strict attention, be cautious and active], for you do not know in what kind of a day [ whether a near or remote one] your Lord is coming. 1 Corinthians 13:5 AMP It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. 1 Timothy 4:1 AMP 1BUT THE [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach, Hebrews 2:1 AMP SINCE ALL this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we have heard, lest in any way we drift past [them] and slip away. Hebrews 2:3 AMP How shall we escape [appropriate retribution] if we neglect and refuse to pay attention to such a great salvation [as is now offered to us, letting it drift past us forever]? For it was declared at first by the Lord [Himself], and it was confirmed to us and proved to be real and genuine by those who personally heard [Him speak]. 2 Peter 1:19 AMP And we have the prophetic word [made] firmer still. You will do well to pay close attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dismal (squalid and dark) place, until the day breaks through [the gloom] and the Morning Star rises ( comes into being) in your hearts.
Well, that ties it all together-my heart, soul and mind-given all to my LORD. They are braided together. Renew the mind and you strengthen the heart and the soul prospers.

"Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge." Psalm 62:8

I thank you LORD that you first loved me. I ask your forgiveness for my transgressions. You are my strength, joy, hope and salvation. I thank you Lord for all you have given me. You are my Lord and I trust in YOU. With You, all things are possible if I believe and do not waiver. Lord hold me up when I begin to waiver. Bring to my remembrance all Your magnificant promises and encourage me to stand strong in the face of adversity. I trust in You my LORD and Savior. Thank you for your precious gift of Your Son.
